For the past 5 years, Laura Winn dedicated time to writing a book on shifting our relationship to grief through our connection with Earth. "Love like Thunder, Grief like Rain" is a memoir and practices to move us through grief. The work is an offering thats lead us back to love with stories, meditations, and mindfulness exercises.

This text poured out of the author, slow and sweet like molasses. She journeyed through seasons of fervent writing, and deep rest with the material. Laura carried book pages all across the world, and tapped at the words until they fell into place.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Laura Winn is a graphic designer living in San Francisco, California. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to start a brand consulting company, Let’s Work Studio, in 2025. Creativity is a wellspring of her life. Many of the guided meditations in this book are adapted from leading in-person community sits across the Bay area. Laura is a loyal student of the natural world. She views Earth as a blueprint for how to live our lives as a true expression of love and devotion.
